Back in the USA

I made it back to the USA early Wednesday morning, September 26th. I've traveled over 20,000 miles to visit Tanzania and return to Kentucky!

It took me three days to get to Mpwapaw including an 8-hour bus ride on the last leg. When I arrived, a local dance group was ready to greet me with drumming and dancing. The picture above shows traditional tribal dancers in front of Russ and Lisa's house. The second picture shows Russ, Matthew, and Lisa overlooking Mpwapaw in the valley below. We had gotten up before daylight to hike into the mountains.

I took this opportunity for adventure while Russ and Lisa, Peace Corps Volunteers, could show me the land and people they have come to know.
